DT Dijkstra joins the Agrifood Cluster
DT Dijkstra has joined the agro-food cluster in Emmeloord. The cluster now has 24 stakeholders from all parts of the open consortium. The three pillars of this partnership are: spreading knowledge, promoting innovation and stimulating business in the open cultivation.
Cor Van Veldhuijsen, Agrifood Cluster Director welcomes the arrival of DT Dijkstra: “With participation of DT Dijkstra we are expanding the cluster with machine manufacturers. DT Dijkstra focuses on grading and washing of agricultural products. This is a growing market and therefore it is logical that this development leads back to the cluster. We had a few machine manufacturers and with this greater representation we are even stronger. ”
Harco Christiaens, Global sales manager at DT Dijkstra, agrees: “As a machine manufacturer, it is important to know well the development and quality demands in the chain, before and after our machines to anticipate. By building this knowledge we can deliver the optimum machines. The opposite is also true. We can indicate what the technological developments could mean in the sector chain. The Agrofood Cluster gives us an internationally oriented platform with all the necessary knowledge. We expect to learn in the cluster from each other and share knowledge. ”
